Kath & Roger welcome you to The Old Forge B&B for a friendly and relaxed stay. Our Bed & Breakfast is a very comfortable home with an attractive rear garden where you are welcome to relax and enjoy a cup of tea after your journey.
We are located in the pretty and quiet village of Streatley which is surrounded by beautiful Bedfordshire countryside less than 2 miles from Luton. We have a local bus service and good access to road and rail links, including London Luton Airport. Being located on the well known Icknield Way, Streatley is also known as a haven for ramblers with many walks available.
There are two rooms available which we have named after blacksmiths from years gone by, which offer either en-suite or private facilities. Both have flat screen televisions with inbuilt dvd players.
Tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities are provided together with a bottle of fresh spring water. All areas have free WiFi available.
Guests will be able to enjoy a full and hearty breakfast with either a view of our garden from the kitchen or in our dining room which was once part of the forge.
Attractive garden and patio. On site parking.
The Old Forge at Streatley is the perfect Bed & Breakfast base to explore the local countryside of Bedfordshire and even an ideal place to stay if you are on a business trip to Luton or when visiting the Universities and Cities of Oxford or Cambridge, which are equal distances apart.
The original part of the house dates back to the late 18th century and is one of the oldest buildings in the village. It was a working forge up until the late 1970's.
